Truth in Advertising
It turns out that the version that made it’s way around the internet a few years ago was the short version. The one below is the full version.
“Creatively speaking, he is the cheapest!” -
The Wire dies beautiful
The Wire ended wonderfully. All loose ends were tied up, all characters accounted for, old horses were put out to pasture, new stallions took their place, my main prediction did not happen, and the central message of the show, that that system always wins, was reaffirmed.
Absolutely beautiful.

HBO is cruel
All season HBO has been running The Wire (aka one of the top two shows on television) one week ahead of schedule via the Comcast On-Demand service (which I why I subscribe to the thing). For the series finale they ran a one minute teaser saying we have to wait a week. HBO is an evil corporate monster.

RIP Bill Buckley
He passed away while working at home at the age of 82, which I’m sure is the way he would have wanted it.
I saw him speak and started reading his books in my junior year of college. Now that I think about it, he gave a 90 minute speech with style, no notes and no missteps.
I’m sure I’ll have more thoughts about it later, but for now, Rest in Peace.

On the turning of 35
I turn 35 and Castro resigns! Who knows what else will happen this year…
Somehow I thought it would be different. Apparently it hasn’t made me any more prompt with blogging since my birthday was actually Sunday.
In any case, Schelling Point now has it’s own Wikipedia entry.
